2011 Indiana United WPSL Team Roster Announced
CARMEL, IN (05/17/2011) – Indiana United, a division of Carmel United Soccer Club, announced the 2011 Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) roster. The 2011 Indiana United WPSL roster includes collegiate level athletes representing more than 15 schools from across the Midwest. Indiana United WPSL is led by coaches Ralph Richards and Brett McIntosh and team manager Elvira Whittaker. The team is sponsored, in part by: Cassidy Turley, Validated Custom Solutions, and Victory Travels.
“This is a very talented 2011 Indiana United WPSL team,” said Head Coach Ralph Richards. “The quality of college players mixed with the experience of the returning players and the exuberance of the youth players will certainly make for a fun and exciting season. We hope to provide a style of soccer that is fun for the fans to watch while showcasing some quality skills in an all-around team performance.”
“Although Carmel United has fielded a WPSL team for the past two years, the team has been rebranded as Indiana United for 2011 and beyond to showcase the diversity of the players’ club, high school and collegiate athletic careers,” said CUSC Director of Soccer and Club Operations Don Rawson. “This team features role models from across the Midwest and beyond. It is the club’s hope that the greater Indianapolis area soccer community will embrace this opportunity to see a very high-level of women’s soccer in a fun, family-friendly environment.”
